Virginia Suveiu, Esq.

Managing Director – Strategic Risk Advisory Services

Virginia Suveiu has served in various corporate and legal positions, including Director of Risk Management, Chief Safeguard Officer, and Of Counsel. In her more than 20 years’ experience, she has advised in risk management, regulatory compliance, and commercial matters, including the entire contract life cycle. Her expertise includes:

She has held key positions in research, non-profit and higher education institutions, including as founding dean, adjunct professor and advisory board member for the Center of Civics Education at Concordia University, Irvine. She has been both instructor and content developer for the University of California, Irvine, from where she was given the Distinguished Instructor Award.

She provides specialized training in:

Virginia has also completed IBM's Practical Introduction to Quantum-Safe Cryptography program, strengthening her knowledge of emerging cybersecurity risks in the quantum era and modern encryption approaches designed to help organizations prepare for the future of data protection.

Virginia is a neutral and arbitrator, including for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and for the American Arbitration Association (AAA). She is affiliated with, has advised, and has spoken to several professional associations.

She is an active member of the State Bar of California and admitted to the U.S. District Court, Central District of California.

She edited the “Routledge Handbook of Risk Management and the Law” and served on the editorial board of National Contract Management Association’s Contract Management Magazine.

Virginia earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond School of Law and her BA cum laude in International Development Studies and Spanish from Whittier College, where she was a Hearst Foundation United States Senate Youth Program award recipient.
